Aspiring Academics Preschool is a full-time child care provider with 2 locations in Toronto. We are licensed by the Ministry of Education and are open from 7:30am – 6:00pm, Monday to Friday. Our program offers high quality childcare provided by a team of experienced Registered Early Childhood Educators (R.E.C.E.’s) and Certified Teachers.
Each room is furnished with age appropriate materials and supplies. All toys found at Aspiring Academics Preschool are developmental in nature, acting as an agent to teach the player a new skill or experience. Toys and equipment are purchased from leading educational toy manufacturers and are Canadian Standards Association approved. The classrooms are arranged with various learning centres and materials are rotated on a regular basis to ensure diversity and exploration. Each classroom has been designed with the following goals in mind:
- An engaging environment that motivates learning and thinking
- Learning centres that encourage diversity in learning and play
- Open-ended creative materials to foster an interest in art, music and language
- Window space is maximized to allow natural light to filter throughout the room
- Activity set up that encourages sharing to develop social skills
- Safe and comfortable surroundings that ensure children feel at home
Children spend two (2) hours a day outside with their class. The backyard play space is lush and landscaped professionally to enhance gross motor skill development. Mature trees provide natural shade throughout the day. The playground has soft and hard surfaces to maximize play opportunities. A circular track is located within the grass for bike and scooter riding and other mobile toys.
Aspiring Academics Preschool is catered by Food for Tots, a leading catering company that provides healthy, delicious, child-friendly meals and snacks to child care centres and schools across the Greater Toronto Area. They can cater to any allergy or dietary preference your child may require.
Our Director, Jasmine, is on site during program operation and ensures that all classrooms continue to uphold the high standards of Aspiring Academics Preschool.
